Valley Community Featured in Star Tribune Article

Valley Community Presbyterian in Golden Valley was featured in the January 19 edition of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.  The article, about pipe organs, talks about Valley’s efforts to get a pipe organ, one formerly used by Oliver Presbyterian Church in North Minneapolis. (Oliver merged with Hope Presbyterian in Richfield last year.)  Richard Buller, the pastor at Valley says this about pipe organs:

“It’s a wonderful addition to our church, and we’re very blessed to have it…It’s a beautiful instrument that looks as if it was meant to be there.”

Scott Newman, the leader of Valley’s praise band, who also happens to be a former church organist, believes there are many ways to sing a new song to the Lord:

“There are many different ways to spread the word of God… It’s the same message delivered with a different vehicle.”

Thanks to Stated Clerk Nancy Gritman, for pointing this out!
